Milkweed: it does a caterpillar good

TOG said...: I grow milkweed to. They never bloom for me because the caterpillars strip the entire plant of leaves and buds. When there is nothing to eat the caterpillars walk away. I have been told that they will be cannibalistic if the milkweed runs out. Some must survive. The yard fills up with the butterflies when ever the milkweed has enough leaves.; July 17, 2007 1:46 PM
