It's not what you think...you're looking at the leaves of a Texas Star Hibiscus.

As part of the "Daily Photo" family, I will post a new pic of Cypress, TX every day...as long as I don't forget. Come see a small town trying to run away from the big city. (That would be Houston.) And scroll to blog end for the complete list of Daily Photo Blogs. Enjoy!

October Theme Day! - Cemetary

cemetary1
Welcome to Daily Photo family! I have been checked out for awhile. My mom is dying from pancreatic cancer and I don't have the extra energy to post every day. But I was not going to miss another theme day. Even if it has to do with cemetaries.

Since October is the month in which Halloween occurs, the voters decided to have the October theme day be cemeteries and tombstones!

This mini-cemetary is located on House & Hahl Rd. in Cypress. Just one headstone with a fence. What's interesting is that this couple, Charles and Annie, were born in the 1880's. Charles died in 1931 but Annie waited out her life on earth until 1970. I bet he was glad to see her again in heaven. I will be excited to reunite with my loved ones as well.

There are currently 87 blogs participating in this theme day; check 'em out!!!

Life is very fragile, and it's difficult sometimes because of that. My best to you and your family during this difficult time.

belle photo, ce rapport avec l'arbre mort et ce tombeau (difference avec mon theme, l'arbre vit grace au tombeau)

beautiful photograph, this relationship with the dead tree and this tomb (difference with my topic, the tree saw thanks to the tomb)

Thank for so much for the photo for theme day; I've looked at most all of them and believe this is the only one like this, unless I find one in the last 20 or so.

And thank you for the beautiful photo of your mother and your siblings.

I'm so sorry about your mother's illness. Hopefully your family is taking full advantage of the services hospice provides ... My mother passed on early in September and I also found a cemetery theme difficult so soon after a lose ... I quickly moved on to colorful bright subjects.
